NSPCC – ‘Speak out. Stay safe.’

The NSPCC’s ‘Speak out. Stay safe.’ programme is visiting our school to make sure our pupils have the knowledge and understanding they need to stay safe. We are pleased to tell you that we will be working with the NSPCC, the UK’s leading children’s charity, who’ll be delivering their Speak out. Stay safe. programme at Tuel Lane after the half term holiday. This is a nationwide programme for every primary-school-aged child in the UK and Channel Islands.

Through child-friendly, interactive assemblies and workshops, specially trained staff will give our children information about how to keep themselves safe from harm and how to get help if they have any worries, sensitively discussing issues.

As part of the programme we will be hosting a parent’s online safety workshop (Tuesday 19th November, 9.00am); an assembly for the children around key safeguarding messages (Wednesday 11th December) followed by a fund-raising event to support the work of the NSPCC charity.

Further details about the workshop and the fundraising will be sent out after the half term holidays that include all the details covered by the programme. This is a very relevant and important topic for schools to cover to ensure all of our children feel safe and happy and know who they can turn to should they need help. We hope you can support us in your attendance at the workshop and through the fundraising. Thank you.
