Welcome back to all of our families, we hope you had a lovely summer break. An especially warm welcome to new families who have had children joining us in Nursery and Rabbits for the first time.
The children have settled in extremely well, and staff have been delighted to have the children play together on the playground and join together for assembly again, after such a long time spent in bubbles.
It does remain very important to note that Covid rates in Calderdale remain high, and in line with government and local guidance, we must isolate and send home any child with a new, continuous cough, a high temperature, or a loss of taste or smell. If your child is displaying symptoms at home, keep them off of school and take them for a PCR test.
If your child is in Rabbits, Badgers or Foxes, please ensure they bring a named bottle full of water to school with them each day. Please don’t send juice in your child’s bottle.
To reduce our plastic waste, we no longer keep spare plastic water bottles in school, so it is important that every child brings their bottle every day.
With the easing of Covid restrictions, we are pleased that we have been able to bring the children together once more for assemblies. We will be holding our weekly Celebration Assembly every Friday at 9.05am. From next week, we will be inviting parents/carers of children who are receiving a certificate to attend assembly if they are able to. If your child is receiving a certificate, you will receive an email by Thursday lunchtime to inform you. You can come into the school hall by the main entrance after you’ve dropped your child off. We would love to hear about your child’s achievements at home too. Please send in any certificates, trophies or awards for us to show in our Friday assemblies.
We are in the process of planning our after school clubs for this term, and will be in touch shortly with more information.
If you need out of school care on a regular basis, please get in touch with Hopscotch on 01422 316227, or email on firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have places available in our lovely, well-resourced, teacher led school nursery. We accept children from the term after their third birthday, and accept children for 15 hours and 30 hours. There are no additional costs. We would be delighted to show around any parents and children who are looking for a nursery place, please spread the word! Wrap around care in available at Hopscotch for parents needing longer hours.
