Tuel Lane Nursery

Our Nursery is a teacher-led, approved child-care provider running two sessions per day – a morning session (8.45am to 11.45am) and an afternoon session (12.15pm to 3.15pm).  Our nursery is an exciting and engaging place where children receive a first-class start to their education in a safe, caring, stimulating and well-resourced environment. Children are encouraged to try new things, begin to show independence and learn how to share and co-operate with their peers.
Mrs Sugden, Miss Botterill and all the nursery team make it their duty to know and understand each individual child; their likes and dislikes and their family backgrounds, in order to personalise each child’s learning journey.

All 3 to 4 years old in England can get 570 free hours of childcare per year, usually taken as 15 hours per week for 38 weeks.  At Tuel Lane Nursery, children attend in blocks of 3 hours (i.e. a morning or afternoon session) five times a week to total 15 hours. Some families could be entitled to 30 hours funding for additional sessions (depending on current employment situation) and lunch and additional sessions can be bought, subject to availability. For those children who are here for the full day, we offer 30 minutes FREE childcare between the morning and afternoon session. Children are supervised in the dining hall whilst they eat their packed lunch before the afternoon session begins.

There is also a playgroup, Hopscotch, that is attached physically to the school building (but run as a separate business and not Tuel Lane Nursery) who can provide before and after school care outside of the morning and afternoon nursery sessions.

If you are considering Tuel Lane Infant School & Nursery for your child, please call us to arrange a visit. We will be delighted to make an appointment for you to visit our school and meet us.

World Book Day 2020

On our return to school after the half term holiday we will be having a ‘Book Week’, which will include World Book Day celebrations.

We thought parents might like a reminder in plenty of time for sorting out a costume for your child’s favourite book character!
